AI crawlers have limited budgets. On a large store they may read only the first few hundred products before moving on. A concise summary file is a way to communicate what matters without relying on a full crawl.

What are the limits of llms.txt?
It is advisory. An AI system is free to ignore it, and many do. It does not make content rank, it does not guarantee a citation, and a stale llms.txt is worse than none. It complements good product pages; it does not replace them.

Important limitations
- llms.txt is not an official standard and is not read by every AI system.
- Publishing llms.txt does not make content rank or get cited.
