Every Shopify store is now visible to AI agents. Only stores with OtoRank get recommended.

The Problem
People are asking ChatGPT and Gemini what to buy instead of typing into Google, and Google itself now answers with AI summaries instead of a page of links. Shopify makes sure your store can complete that sale once an AI agent picks it. It doesn't make sure your products get picked in the first place.
That's the part Shopify deliberately leaves open for merchants to fill in, and it's exactly what OtoRank does automatically.
What Shopify handles
What OtoRank adds
Paste any Shopify store URL. No login, no email, just a score and what to fix first.
Checking robots.txt, product pages, and store policies. This takes a few seconds.
This checker is built specifically for Shopify stores, so it can only score sites that run on Shopify.
Based on what's publicly visible. Your real AEO score after installing OtoRank also includes AI crawl traffic and review data we can't see from outside.
85 of these 100 points come from things OtoRank can generate and improve automatically once installed. The rest is what we can't see from outside, your robots.txt, catalog fields, and policy pages, install to get the complete picture.
Install free, review what it generates, publish when you're ready.
Features
Everything OtoRank does is designed around how AI crawlers index content and form recommendations.
Every product gets a score for content quality, structural completeness, and verified AI crawler visits. A number that climbs as you generate content.
Example score shown. Yours starts wherever your current content leaves it.
Plain, natural writing that AI assistants can actually understand and quote back to shoppers.
See exactly which crawlers, GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, have visited your store.
Generated descriptions and FAQs wait for your review before anything publishes.
OtoRank builds a plain-language guide AI agents use to understand what your store sells, updated automatically as your catalog changes.
Big catalogs don't get left behind. AI assistants only have so much attention per visit, so OtoRank splits large stores into focused batches, making sure every product gets read, not just the first few hundred.
Built On Shopify's Agentic Framework
Both live in the same store, working toward the same sale.
Shopify's agentic framework makes sure that once an AI agent picks your product, the purchase actually goes through: cart, checkout, and payment.
Makes sure the AI agent picks your product in the first place, with the descriptions and answers it needs to recommend you by name.
McKinsey estimates agentic commerce could be worth $3 to 5 trillion by 2030. The more people let AI shop for them, the more this partnership matters.

Shopify's file handles the transaction layer: the UCP endpoint, MCP tools, and the checkout flow AI agents use to buy from your store. It doesn't include product descriptions or FAQ content, so there's nothing there for an AI to base a recommendation on. OtoRank writes its discovery content into that same file, right after Shopify's part. Nothing gets replaced.
No. OtoRank writes to templates/llms.txt.liquid and agents.md.liquid through Shopify's own Asset API when you install it. There's no code to copy and no theme file to open yourself.
Unlikely. OtoRank doesn't touch meta titles, sitemaps, page speed, or anything a general SEO app already handles. It's focused specifically on AI-discovery content: product prose, FAQs, and the llms.txt/agents.md files most SEO apps don't generate at all. Most stores run both side by side.
One credit generates one product's AI description and FAQ pair. Paid plans get a set number of credits each month (Growth 250, Pro 750, Enterprise 2,000). The Free plan doesn't include generation credits, it scores your first 5 products and shows you the gap, so you can see exactly what a paid plan would fix before spending anything.
No. Every AI-generated description and FAQ lands in a review queue first. You approve or edit before anything goes live on your store or into your llms.txt file. Nothing publishes on its own.
OtoRank removes the discovery content it added to templates/llms.txt.liquid and agents.md.liquid automatically. Shopify's own llms.txt output goes back to its default state, no leftover files.
Anything that reads llms.txt or agents.md, or crawls your product pages directly: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, and similar shopping agents. The crawl analytics inside OtoRank show you GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot visits by name, so you're not guessing.
Give it a reason to recommend yours instead.
